Hi, my name is Erik Burns, and I am an interaction designer specializing in standards-driven design and rapid user interface development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I consult with companies big and small to help them create interactive and engaging digital experiences that their customers love. And I like to do it fast. In my free time, I’m an avid musician, volleyball enthusiast, and gigi trader. I also like to write.

xBrowse is a cross-browser testing service I co-created to help designers and developers shorten the time it takes to produce high-quality cross-browser compliant websites. I co-founded xBrowse in Februrary 2010, and helped launch our API in June. To date, we have delivered nearly 100,000 screenshots to satisfied end users. People like our beautiful and interactive JavaScript-based screenshot browsing interface, our ease of use, and our rendering speed. Not bad for a two-man team working primarily after hours.
